As a community, we can't afford to evade our responsibility for creating a just world by believing that our personal transformation is disconnected from collective liberation. We offer this workshop in the spirit of sharing collective space to wade through what arises when we speak truth from our social location or embodied racial identities.
To create a racially equitable spaces we need a shared understanding of dominant culture, oppression, power, privilege and racism.
In this online series:
We will define racism and white supremacy.
Share an analysis of social location and explore how our location impacts our capacity and ability to work across lines of difference.
Share skills focused on how to stay in relationship when things get messy by acknowledging harm and creating conditions for repair.
