The Radical Act of Self Care
This is a call to healers, activists, social change advocates…
White supremacy, patriarchy and capitalism seeks to divide and conquers us. They isolate us. They rob us of our breath. They teach us to disconnect from our feelings and our humanity. In the face of this, we want to cultivate wholeness, healing and humanity. Our self-care is critical if we want to navigate our lives with grace and ease. We must develop practices and rituals, remembering to remember our own humanity. Self-care is where we begin. It is a radical act to demand that our own well-being be centered.
Do you wake up some days and think, “I can’t do this another day.” And then you do. Because there is so much need. And you have gifts to offer. But you are exhausted by the world and the enormity of the work? How can you keep giving yourself to the struggle for collective justice, healing and liberation when you yourself are depleted? How do stay grounded, centered, and in integrity with yourself when the world knocks you sideways?
If you’ve asked yourself these questions, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. We’ve asked ourselves the same questions and we’ve learned some things we want to share so that people can keep doing their work in the world. We’ve come up with some strategies to respond.

Please join us for an four-week course of building tools and building community toward the radical practice of self care.
We will use Zoom to connect with one another and will cover a different topic each week, offering coaching and inviting you to practice the tools in between sessions.
Through this course you will learn to:
Create a sustaining self-care practice
Affirm the gifts you embody as a healer and empath and create strategies to respond to empathic fatigue.
Learn skills from various modalities to keep you centered and grounded.
Connect with your intuition. We are in conversation with the Divine all of the time: how to recognize the signs.
Deepen your relationship with your spirit guides.
Create rituals for stability in a chaotic world.
Develop an intentional practice of setting boundaries.
Connect to your heartbreak and making space for grief.
Hold space for the collective good: Centering what is in service of the group.
Create the counter-story of our resilience and survival.
This class will begin on November 28th, 2018 and will meet for four weeks.
We have a three-tiered payment system for this course as well as partial scholarships available.
About the facilitators:
Meet Amy and Michelle Cassandra.
We are two women committed to a vision of an anti-racist, anti-oppressive world. We do this in our personal and our professional lives.
We have hit the wall ourselves and had to find ways to do what we do in the world: strategically, creatively, and with great compassion for ourselves and others.
We are committed to creating community and healing spaces for healers, activists, artists, empaths, because the world needs you and the work you do.
***After you purchase the course you will receive a confirmation email with essential information about the course and how to use zoom and a questionnaire so that we can learn more about you.
