Skillful Facilitation for Yoga Teachers with Three Queens Yoga

As yoga teachers, we need to understand how to facilitate spaces for healing and transformation skillfully. Join Michelle Cassandra Johnson for Skillful Facilitation For Yoga Teachers, a training for yoga teachers dedicated to anti-oppression work and advancing their practice of creating a just world.  This training is intentionally designed to introduce and engage conversations about holding space for change, authentic facilitation, intersectionality, and engaging in deep listening and group processes while centering justice.

You will learn how to build a culture that can respond to different lived experiences and honor the various identities people embody. You will learn a shared language to better understand systems of power and privilege and how to hold an intersectional lens as you facilitate. We will discuss different levels of harm that can occur when we are working across lines of difference and how to respond to harm using restorative practices for repair. In addition, we will focus on how to care for yourself as you hold space for healing and transformation for others.

This offering will be an opportunity for you to build community, learn alongside others who are invested in creating a just world, and practice new facilitation skills. It will include embodied practice, self-study and reflection, meditation, and small and large group discussions.

Prerequisite: Must have read Skill In Action by Michelle. Suggested reading: We Heal Together: Rituals and Practices for Building Community and Connection.
